Traditional security systems interact with high security monitoring offices all across the country.  In the future, when home networks become sufficiently advanced, security providers may need to consider what extra features can be offered to increase the effectiveness of their monitoring networks. 

Dedicated centers may be designed to interact primarily with home networks. These centers might interact on two or more levels such as: voice between the network and monitoring technicians, transmitted data and explanatory messages, or alarm situations that require retransmission to emergency facilities such as hospitals and ambulance services.
