Industry Description
A “machine Internet” may be accessed at the binary level without converting to alphanumeric formats that are read by humans. Every new machine Internet may clearly be targeted by countries and criminal groups intent on disrupting or controlling them. Security restrictions, firewalls, and regulatory controls will be necessary to maintain and protect such new Internets. All of these features could be administered by other intelligent computers, making the entire environment truly unique.
Every owner of any intelligent computer must decide what level of access to the world their computer can have. There may be ever-present dangers when any intelligent computer attempts to expand its capabilities by accessing networks outside of itself. This will be true for every home network.
