In the future, suppliers may offer discounts on sales to home-based businesses.  To qualify, the home-based business may need to supply traditional business identification information, such as its federal tax ID or Employer Identification Number (EIN) and registration entity numbers for business filings with their home state’s secretary of state offices.  Such reduced rates will probably not be at wholesale levels but would still be real savings for the home-based businesses. 

Such arrangements might represent long-term support for businesses and up-to-date information that home-based businesses can apply to their situations.  Such business-to-business programs may also receive support and publicity from state and local agencies encouraging citizens to start their own home-based businesses.  These suppliers may specialize in home network components and services that enable home-based businesses to more easily work with other businesses.
