It is inevitable and appropriate that guidelines be established for construction and performance of home network systems and components.  If we hope that such products gain broad acceptance, we must be mindful of the need to keep track of the proliferation of products.  In the future, to give stature to the home network industry, there must be standards for people and organizations to implement and evaluate.
